Work Camp

Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains, with the 65 miles of shoreline of Deep Creek Lake, it is easy to understand why so many people want to call Garrett County home. That is why so many of the elderly and low-income residents of Garrett County are literally excited at the thought that people like you will come help them do just that, call Garrett County home. You will help them make their homes the safe and secure harbors that homes are meant to be. The work goes far beyond the exterior of the home; when you visit these people, you give them hope for the future.

Each year, OLGC sends teens to Work Camp, where they spend a week serving the Lord helping those in need. This year is our biggest year yet! We spend the year raising funds in order to defray the cost to send these teens to work camp (for lodging, materials, etc). Work Camp is a WONDERFUL experience and a community building opportunity not only for our teens but for our entire parish.

• Sat April 12: Mulch Delivery!!!
• Sun April 27: 3PM in YR- meeting (Bake sale procedures and Sign-up)
• Sat/Sun May 10/11: Mother’s Day Bake Sale
• Sun May 18: 9:30-2:30 Car Wash 3:00-4:30 PM in YR – meeting (Bake Sale results, remaining balance per camper, final payment)
