PERSONAL ITEMS
towels and washcloths (2 sets) gives time for 1 set to dry out in between showers.
flip flops or shower shoes (you don't want to take the chance of catching some sort of fungus)
travel size soaps and shampoos (not so heavy or bulky carrying back and forth from showers)
some type of carry all to bring toiletries to showers (sometimes they are quite a distance from your rooms)
Girls: try to coordinate blow dryers and straighteners if you can, that way you can share with a friend
air mattress or sleeping bag (depending on your sleeping preference)
if bringing an air mattress an electric pump is highly recommended (foot pedal ones are not very efficient)
if using a sleeping bag, a mat provides nice padding (something like a yoga or exercise mat)
a deck of cards was nice for down time
Clothing:
enough t shirts for working and for after work showers
enough shorts for working and for after work showers (your work clothes will get trashed, make sure they are ones you don't mind trashing)
enough underwear for two changes each day (one for the workday and one for after showers for evening
bathing suit
tennis shoes or work shoes
socks for work shoes
flip flops other than the ones for the shower
some sort of laundry bag for dirty clothes (that way your clean clothes don't stink)
a visor or hat to protect your face from sunburn
deodorant
toothbrush and toothpaste
if you wear contacts, don't forget your case, solution and a pair of glasses in case you can't wear the contacts because of eye irritation
sunglasses (not expensive ones)
sunscreen, bug spray, bandages (we found it helpful to keep a supply of these items in your tool bag so that you have them on site when you need them)
****REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE (PLEASE USE THIS ITEM OFTEN, MANY WORK CAMPERS GOT VERY SICK LAST YEAR DUE TO DEHYDRATION!!!!)
